In the early 1970s noted Southern California performance artist Eleanor Antin began sending a regular intervals a series of postcards to friends and interested people. Each postcard represented another adventure in the travels across America of 100 boots. The boots visted various locations, trespassed on private property and finally, after fifty some adventures, arrived in New York. These now famous images are collected in this volume, with each page scored for possible removal from the book for use as a postcard.
